Who We Are

The most widely known form of traditional Irish dance is competition-oriented modern Irish stepdance. Other popular forms of Irish dancing are for couples and group social dancing, such as set dancing and céili dancing. Less known is the traditional solo dance form called Sean nós or “old style” dance.

The Inisheer Irish Dancers perform traditional Irish sets and Sean nós (old style) step dancing with an infectious, spontaneous joyfulness that they delight in sharing with audiences. These old forms of Irish dance are playful and relaxed, allowing for spirited self-expression.

The group has performed at venues all over North Florida, including the Ormond Beach Celtic Festival, the Florida Folk Festival and as far away as Jackson, Mississippi for Celtic Fest Mississippi.
